If landscape art is the main 'body' of my work, then ironically figurative art would be considered the parallel shadow following along. My figurative work is typically conceived and executed with live models, and the process is quick and relies heavily on deliberate mark-making and a sensitivity to limited time. Existentialism and the human condition are main themes I aim to continue excavating through the study and exercise of both portraiture and general full body life drawing. While I work on figurative work weekly to continue honing my skills and style, I have developed several commissions over the years.
